She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Luis “Louie” Polanco, SR, her daughter Laura Polanco, of Springfield, OR, her son Luis Polanco, JR of Springfield, OR, 4 grandchildren, Adam (Wendi) Erck, of Omaha, NE, Martin Erck, of Springfield, OR, Meredith Erck, of Springfield, OR and Luis Polanco, III, of Eugene, OR, 2 sisters, Sharan (George) Winegar, of Elk Grove, CA, Karen Hovland, of Sacramento, CA and her brothers Dale Lamb, of Klamath Falls, OR, Eddie (Paula) Lamb of Bellevue, OH, and Larry (Barbara) Lamb of Mansfield, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Sue graduated from Hiram W. They moved to Springfield, OR from Fremont, CA in December 1980. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She was kind, loving, caring, giving, humble, grateful, and always enthusiastic and ready for the next adventure. She always made herself available to help any of her family and friends whenever they needed it, sometimes going without to make sure they had what they needed. She enjoyed volunteering at the Church and her children’s schools, she was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and an assistant 4-H leader for several years. Sue and Louie loved to travel and explore, taking the backroads across the country to get to their destinations to see all the nooks and crannies of America. They also enjoyed camping whether it was in the mountains or at the coast, although the coast was their favorite spot. Spending time with her family was the most important to Sue. Her absence will leave a hole in all of our lives.
