Doug Coton Hanby
September 22nd, 1953 - August 1st, 2021
Doug Coton Hanby, 67, passed away in the early hours Sunday morning. Doug was born September 22, 1953 to Elizabeth and Ed Hanby. The eldest of four children, Doug grew up a Navy brat. He had a life-long love of cars, and always seemed to find himself surrounded by engines. He eventually retired from Country Coach in Junction City. Still waters run deep certainly describes Doug. He did become more social in the last years of his life as he settled into his new community at Junction City Assisted Living. Though he did not have a dog, he kept dog treats stocked in his pantry for his morning chats with the neighbor's dogs. Doug is described by his nieces and nephews as unconditionally kind and generous to a fault. Doug was the kind of man you never heard speaking an unkind word. He could be found often having a drink at his beloved Bugsy's bar. Doug leaves behind two sisters, neices, nephews, his friends at JC Assisted Living, and his friends at Bugsy's.
