Jose Gilbert Salazar

Jose Gilbert Salazar was born February 21, 1937 in Trinidad, Colorado. Jose went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2020 in Denver, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his father Nash Salazar, his mother Rachel Salazar, his wife Stella Salazar, his brother's Ted and Roger Martinez, his sister Gloria Kim, his son's Gary Salazar and Gilbert Salazar, and his daughter's Tina Salazar and Julie Salazar. He is survived by his son's Nash Salazar, Robert Salazar, Leonard Salazar, Randy Salazar, and Andy Salazar, his brother Garfield Salazar, his sister's Stella Maestas, Mercy Romero, Mary Gagliardi, and Ruby Sanchez, along with nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Jose Gilbert Salazar served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. He enjoyed keeping busy outdoors with gardening, remodeling work, and working on cars. Jose treasured his family and loved hanging out with his grandchildren. He would make them homemade toys like rubber band guns, windup toys, and kites. And at the end of the day he would always find himself the nearest chair to quickly fall asleep in. He is loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
