Leota was born December 11, 1933 in Billings, Montana, to Mabel and Adam Gresser. She passed away July 31, 2020 in Springfield, Oregon, surrounded by loved ones. She was one of 16 children and is survived by brother, Roy Gresser, sisters, Ellie Jenkins, Joanne Becker, Janice Cook (Gene), and stepmother, Charliet Gresser. She is also survived by daughters, Rose Marie Laird (Ralph), Denise Schenfeld (Fred), six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dannette Brown, and husband, Arvel Ash. She was a hard worker and was employed by PeaceHealth for 23 years in Environmental Services as a seamstress and linen coordinator. She enjoyed quilting and gave many of them as gifts to family and friends. Leota was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her sweet, gentle presence and warm smile will be greatly missed. Leota and Arvel will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Leaburg, Oregon at a later date.
