John M. Anderson passed away on August 26th, 2020 at his home in Springfield Oregon at the age of 75. He was born to Cecil and Ruby (Forehand) Anderson. He graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay Oregon. John spent many years working in plywood mills on the Oregon coast. He worked several other jobs around Oregon including his own lawn care business and even crossing the country driving long haul trucks. He enjoyed working on small engines, even tinkering his way into the repair shop of Kirby vacuums. One job he really valued was driving vans for Dial-a-Ride in Bend. John loved getting to know all kinds of people. He will be fondly remembered for his smile and sense of humor. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing with family and friends the most. Many fishing stories can be shared about John. If he wasn’t out in the fishing boat, he may have been found in the woods shooting guns or drinking a cold beer by the campfire. He spent his retirement days among the rivers and lakes of Central Oregon. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil, mother Ruby, brother Bob, and sister Dorris. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Jeff and David, daughter Teresa, grandchildren Scott, Justin, Kurtis, Breanna, Mackenzie, Cobie, Bailey, great grandchildren Alice and Henley, sister Donna, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements entrusted to Springfield Memorial Funeral Home. Please access the obituary and you are invited to sign the guestbook at musgroves.com
