Jose Aguilar Najera
April 23rd, 1933 - September 21st, 2020
If life were measured in acts of faith, hope, and love Jose Aguilar's time on this earth would reflect far more than 88 years. While he had accomplished many things in his life, his greatest joy was his family. He met his wife, Maria (Castaneda) of 63 years in La Villita De San Atenogenes, Durango. Together they raised seven Children. In search of opportunity he relocated his family to El Sauzal, Baja California. There he left his mark by constructing several homes, that to this day are still there. Throughout his life he would work in the United States to provide for his family through the bracero program. Not satisfied he decided to pursue the American Dream, and moved his family to Los Angeles, California. Little before his retirement Jose once again relocated to a quieter, more easy-going city, Denver, Colorado. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, sharing his love for food with others, and watching cartoons with his grandchildren. Although he is no longer on this earth in flesh and blood, he and his dream live on through his loved ones. As each success and accomplishment achieved by his family would not be possible without the struggle and sacrifice, he endured. He is preceded in death by his mother Marcelina Carrillo-Najera, his sister Carmen, his brothers Cruz and, Luis. Survived by his sister Consuelo Carrillo, wife Maria, his children, Maricela, Jesus, Miguel, Jorge, Pepe, Blanca, and Maria. Twenty-five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
