Dominic Eugene Sandoval
March 22nd, 1986 - December 3rd, 2023
Dominic was born at Tripler Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 22, 1986. He spent most of his youth in Kailua, Hawaii attending Maunawili Elementary School and Kailua Intermediate School. Throughout his life he always maintained his love for the ocean, especially Kailua beach. He loved it so much that his tattoo on his arm reflected Kailua’s zip code: 96734. Always the joker, he liked to tell people it was his inmate number. At the age of 15, Dominic moved to Denver, Colorado where he briefly attended John F. Kennedy Hight School. While in high school, he was introduced to the culinary arts which became his lifetime passion, even winning a competition for his famous candied nuts. Once passing his GED with flying scores, he immediately applied and was accepted to the Art Institute of Denver specializing in the Culinary Arts Program. He received his Associates of Science Degree and went on to work in a variety of kitchens. HE WAS A FOODIE! Dominic loved taking people to eat good food he had discovered all across the state. Everyone will remember his famous cook outs! Dominic was larger than life and a very colorful person. But he will always be remembered as the most amazing loving father, son, brother, and uncle. His children: Jose, Kekoa, and Ikaika were the light of his world. He loved spending all his time with his family often taking them out into the world to explore. He had a heart made of gold and went out of his way to make sure that the people around him had whatever they may require; often giving what he could even if it was not much. Dominic’s legacy should be: Be generous to others no matter what their circumstances giving a little of yourself is meaningful to others. Celebration of Life: December 16, 2023, from 10am – 12:00 pm The Moose Lodge 11449 York St. Northglenn, CO 80233
