Melinda Renee Petty

Melinda Renee Petty, 55 years of age, passed on Thursday, December 21st at her home in Hugo CO. Melinda was born March 31, 1968 in Fort Morgan, CO to Gary Robert and Mary Kathleen Zwetzig. She was the second of three children, preceded in death by sister Dawn Michele Zwetzig. Melinda was educated in Fort Morgan School District and received her Nursing Degree from University of Northern Colorado. She worked in nursing for over 30 years. Melinda married Chalres Duane Jr Petty on New Years Eve 2001, joining their two families together. Their children include her daughter Mary Fresquez, his children Julie Petty, Chad Petty, David Petty, and Christopher Petty. They also share six wonderful grandchildren. Melinda professed her life to Christ at an early age. Her warm heart and giving spirit were hallmark traits and part of what made up her servant mentality. Melinda loved to travel and experience new things. In addition to traveling throughout the United States, her and Charlie ventured to Israel in 2013. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
