James (Jim) Thomas Devine Jr, age 68, of Lonetree, CO passed away on Tuesday, March 12th 2024 after many extended illnesses at Swedish Hospital in Denver, CO. James celebration of life will be held this summer in St. Paul, MN. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery in St. Paul. 

James was born on September 12, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to James Devine Sr and Margaret (Hansen) Devine. The family lived in New Brighton, MN. Jim graduated from Mounds View High School in 1973 and went to attend college at Concordia College, Moorhead with a finance degree in 1978. He later earned a CPA degree from University of Minnesota and worked with many accounting firms in Texas, St. Paul, Denver and was a finance director for the state of North Dakota. 

Jim enjoyed golf, traveling, cooking and was an avid sports watcher and enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews, which he was known as “Uncle Buck”. He also enjoyed frequent visits from his brother T-Jay and sister, Eileen and husband Lonnie. 

Jim often spent time keeping in touch with friends and family on the phone when his medical conditions allowed little travel. 

Jim was survived by his sister, Eileen (Lonnie) Clemenson of Renville, MN and Thomas Devine of Columbia Heights, MN. He is also survived by his nephews, Shawn, Brent and Scott Clemenson and nieces Shannelle Craig, Briana Devine and Megan Groen. Along with many great nieces and nephews.  Jim also had very close friends, Tim and Kris Grey who helped with friendship and care taking. He is also survived by his neighbors Andy and Nancy, his football friend Gary and other close friends Steve, Paul, Brad, Chris and Larry and the Mounds View Buds. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Devine, and a younger sister Shannon. 

Memorials can be sent to his home in Lonetree, CO or at his celebration of Life in St. Paul, MN this summer.
