Stanford Forrest Tinsley
September 4th, 1951 - March 12th, 2024
Stanford Forrest Tinsley aged 72 passed away peacefully at home with family on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. A believer of God, Stan is whole again and reunited with his bride.Stan was born in Princeton, Kentucky in 1951.He spent most of his childhood in Paducah and Symsonia, Kentucky. He graduated from Symsonia High School and Murray State University, in Kentucky. Upon retirement after 30 years in the rental truck industry, Stan resided with his wife Patty in Jackson, Tennessee. After Patty passed, Stan moved to Brighton, Colorado with his daughter Rebecca, her husband Kevin, and grandchildren Jackson, Emma, Benjamin, and William.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Tinsley and Doris (Hays) Tinsley, along with his sister Terri Tinsley and wife, Patricia Tinsley. He leaves behind his brother Brad (wife Cheryl) Tinsley of Corbin, Kentucky, many nieces and nephews. Two daughters, Anna-Marie (husb. Bill) Smith of Bartlett, Tennessee and Rebecca (husb. Kevin) Duncan of Brighton, Colorado. Eight grandchildren, Megan Haase, Billy Smith, Valkyrie Smith, Athena Smith, Jackson Duncan, Emma-Kate Duncan, Benjamin Duncan, and William Duncan.
In his free time Stan enjoyed reading the yellowed pages of a well-worn Western, visiting with his buddy Tony Johnson, shopping or eating out, and sharing his love of nature with his grandson Jackson. Stan loved camping, hunting, and fishing his whole life. He loved sharing his knowledge of these passions with his family whether on the boat or whittling on the back porch. He will be greatly missed on this side of heaven.In lieu of services we ask you spend a day with your family in nature and share memories of a life well-lived.
