David "Dave" Charles Wilson
November 5th, 1945 - March 25th, 2024
David “Dave” Charles Wilson, deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sisters, and friends, passed away on March 25, 2024. Despite his valiant fight to remain by our side, fate had other plans.
Dave's journey began in Kenton, OH, born to Charles and Billie Wilson on November 5, 1945. He grew up in Highland Park, IL, and then had a stint in the USAF.
Dave married his best friend and partner in life’s adventures, Sue, and spent a wonderful 55 years walking through life together.
With an MBA from DePaul University, Dave worked in the federal government, as an entrepreneur, and then found great passion and meaning in Higher Ed at Regis University.
Dave’s greatest joys were communing with nature doing yard work and spending time with his family. Dave’s family made his spirit sing. He truly loved each of them – his wife Sue, sons Brian [Alanna] and Jon [Melanie], grandchildren Mackenzie [Ryan] and Hunter, great granddaughter Gracie, brother Jim and sister Emily, and cherished nephews and niece. Though he is physically not with us, he will continue to be in our hearts and minds. He lived well and will be missed dearly every day. A private family celebration of Dave’s life will be held in confirmation of the love he brought and we all shared.
