Betty Herbert Betty Jean Herbert was born February 3rd 1932 at Pacific Christian Hospital now (Sacred Heart) to Angus and Christine Forcia. She lived with her family in Star Camp, a residential area for workers of the Forcia and Larson Lumber Company about two miles west of Noti. The home was owned by her uncle George and Frances Forcia and is still there, having been remodeled by Don Merkle, who owns the property and the Forcia, Larson reservoir there. Her family moved to a home built by her father Angus about five years later on the south side of the mill. She attended Noti Elementary graduating in 1946, then attending Elmira High School graduating in 1950. Betty married Dewey in June 27 1953 at First Christian Church in Eugene. They lived on the family farm and built their own family home in 1958 and have resided there for (64) years. Preceded in death by her granddaughter Kelly Christine, Brother Jim Forcia. She was a wonderful mother to her children, her son Cliff and (Kari) Herbert and son Rodney still reside at the Noti farm. Daughter Judith and Paul Fuller of Elmira live close by. Betty has seven Grandchildren Ryan & (Jennie), Haley, Jessica, Ashley & (Trent Krieger), Hayes, Zachary and Cody Fuller. Four great grandchildren Cobyn, Trentyn, Hayden and Baylor. Betty enjoyed watching Elmira athletics, OSU Beaver games, gardening, traveling and going on cruises. Betty and Dewey had fun square dancing with the Route “F” Twirlers, she also belonged to Central Lane Jayceettes. She enjoyed playing volleyball with a Noti ladies team with Eugene Parks and Recreation. Betty loved and enjoyed her many friends and neighbors, her children and especially her wonderful grandchildren. She loved you all!
