Mary L Ogden
September 20th, 1922 - December 30th, 2018
Mary Lucille Swanson Ogden was born on September 20, 1922 in Eagle Lake, Florida and passed away in Mountain Home, Idaho on December 30, 2018 at the age of 96. She was married to Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kenneth B. Ogden for 75 years. She is survived by her husband, her sister, Ann Funk, and 4 of her 5 children. They are Connie Bradley (Paul), Sandy Covey, Patricia Ogden (Bill) and Richard Ogden (Reba). She was preceded in death by her son, Captain Frank Ogden, who passed away in 1982. She also leaves 9 of her 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mary Lou was an Air Force wife for 26 years. Her family traveled extensively until they went to Mountain Home AFB in 1958 and she and her husband retired there in 1968. She liked to read, do crossword puzzles and work in her garden. She loved a good bargain and bought more things for her family than she did for herself. She really loved to fish! She was devoted to her family and her husband and was always there for them never letting them down. Mary Lou will always be known as a living legend even though she is no longer with us. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and appreciated her love and kindness. No services will be held at her request. Arrangements by Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home, Idaho.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
