WILLIAM "RED" LEE JACOBS August 25, 1942 - January 23, 2022 Married: January 26, 1963, “Together Forever” And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and grandfather, William "Red" Lee Jacobs, age 79, of Mountain Home. He died of aneurysm at St. Luke's Boise on January 23, 2022. Formerly of Texas, he and his son both moved to Idaho to live with his youngest daughter following the loss of his wife. Prior to retirement, he was the self-employed owner of C & W Pump, a commercial fuel pump sales, maintenance, and repair service in McGregor, Texas. He was an avid gardener, musician, fisherman, hunter, gun restoration and computer repair hobbyist, carpenter, tinkerer, writer, and chess player. As a former co-pastor and Sunday school teacher in his youth, he continued to spend each Sunday as a day of rest for quiet reflection and Bible study. He was preceded in death by parents Ira and Clemmie (Edmonds) Jacobs, sister Ann Qualls, brother-in-law Robert Qualls, wife Carolyn (Weir) Jacobs, eldest daughter Carol Ann, son-in-law Mark Fried, and many others. He is survived by daughter Tammy (Jacobs) Fried, son Randall Jacobs, and grandson William Fried; nieces Shelly Jones and Keri Weir; nephews Kevin Williams, Robert "Robbie" Qualls, Jimmy Brown, and Jason Weir; and his remaining cousins. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home, Idaho. His ashes will be quietly laid to rest and buried beside his wife at Ridge Park Cemetery, Hillsboro, Texas with his niece Shelly in attendance. Per his request, post-pandemic memorial and wake TBA.
