Daryl Dwayne Barnett, 59, of Mountain Home, Idaho died April 28, 2022, peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Cremation under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtery Chapel. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Lola Ann, father to five children, grandfather (Pappa), friend, outdoorsman, athlete and semi-truck driver. Daryl was always upbeat and his sense of humor will always be cherished and deeply missed. He never met a stranger that he could not give a smile to or share a kind word with. Daryl was born in Tyler, Texas on August 17, 1962 to Jerry Sr. and Shirley Barnett. He grew up with a love of all sports and excelled in baseball, receiving a baseball scholarship for college. Daryl loved his family and enjoyed the mountains in Idaho. He and Lola spent many days and weeks travelling the state to discover the mountain ranges. Here they enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing and nature watching. Daryl’s children and grandchildren were his joy. His laughter was contagious, and his smile was given freely. Daryl was a very kindhearted and generous husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Daryl was the person everyone described as one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. His infectious laughter drew people to him. His family and friends will forever miss and remember the kindness, humor and strength that was so very much a part of him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Lola of 24 wonderful years, his five children, “Ryan” Tucker of McCall, Id. ”Kyle” Barnett of Hawkins, TX, Joshua Robertson Tucker of California, Michael Barnett currently serving in the USAF and Holli Brinkerhoff of Boise, Id.
