Roy Arnold Hurley, 79, of Mountain Home passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Roy was born in Yukon, Missouri on December 24, 1943. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his family. Roy served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and worked for UPS for 20 years. He was married to Helen Joyce Peirce for 52 years. In 1975, they moved to Mountain Home following the Air Force and had three children, all of whom reside in Mountain Home. Roy is survived by his sons Wayne (Minda) Hurley and Ron (Debra) Hurley; daughter Marci (Christian) Grim; brother Terry (Barbara) Hurley; sister Marie Collins; his seven grandchildren Katie, Cory, Dallas, Wayne, Makinzie, Morgan and Matt; and his eight great-grandchildren Cash, Lainey, Josephine, Jesse, Olivia, Sebastian, Cypher, and Beckham. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen; both parents; sister Loratha; and brothers Wayne and Melvin. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was the kindest, sweetest person you would ever meet, and he will be dearly missed.
