Roy Lynn Johansen, beloved son, brother, uncle, and best friend passed away peacefully on June 19 at his home in Boise. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 26, 1957 to Per and Lilleba Johansen. He went to Borah High School and spent his entire life in Boise, working in the restaurant business. He has been the owner and operator of the last remaining Quiznos in Idaho for the past 15 years. He was a favorite uncle to many nephews and nieces, known as the candy uncle. Roy loved music, especially the Carpenters, the Beatles and about anything 60’s or 70’s. He had a sharp memory for trivial facts and dates. He was passionate about the space program and could recall almost any mission and the people and dates associated with them. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mom (Lilleba), his siblings, Boyd (Jina), Ronnie (Bernie), Linda (Mark), and Teresa (Ken); 16 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father, Per. A private service will be held at Summers Funeral Home on Saturday, his 64th birthday. He will be interred at Dry Creek Cemetery.
