Grace Maribee Marx
March 4th, 1925 - November 1st, 2021
Grace Maribee Marx of Boise, age 96 went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday November 1, 2021. The daughter of C. Roy Peterson and Grace R. Peterson. She was born March 4, 1925 in Boise, Idaho. She attended school in Boise and Mountain Home where she graduated High School in 1943. After graduating she was accepted at St. Alphonsus Hospital School of Nursing for a three year course where she graduated as a Registered Nurse on September 26, 1946. After graduation she married Allison Edward Jackson and the two relocated in California. She started working as an RN Nurse at San Fernando Hospital. Later they started a family sharing two sons, Richard M. Jackson and J. Scott Jackson before divorcing in 1960. In 1955 she was offered a position as Dr Case’s head nurse at Peterson Case Medical Group in San Fernando. Her employment lasted over 40 years until her retirement. During her employment she was respected and loved by many of her patients and co workers, she also created many life long friends. The high light of her career happen when she delivered a baby during the lunch hour while the doctors were out visiting patients at the hospital. In 1974 she married Robert Marx, they enjoyed 30 years of marriage before his death in 2004. Grace is survived by her son Richard M. Jackson and his wife Marilyn, son J. Scott Jackson and his wife Lisa, stepson Adam Marx and his wife Laurie, stepdaughter Peggy Arndt and her husband Gary, stepson Donald Marx and his wife Loretta, one brother Robert J. Peterson and his wife Lee and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, two sisters Lola Clayton, Dorothy Curington and five brothers Gordon Peterson, Eugene Peterson, Charles Peterson, Clarence Peterson, Richard Peterson, and stepson Thomas Marx.
