Christian Jones Berglund

Chris attended Boise High School, University of Oregon, Southern Oregon University and finished her undergraduate studies at Boise State University. After achieving a high LSAT score, she was offered a scholarship to Santa Clara University School of Law where she attended from 1999 until her graduation in 2003. In 2004 she took the Idaho State Bar Exam and upon passing embarked on a legal career she loved. Chris was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Lee and Walter Opp, Harvey and Cassie Jones, an aunt Cassandra Jones, and stepmother Karen Jones. She is survived by her beloved daughter Mary Berglund, son Greyson Sonntag Johnson, her mother Pam Jones, her father William Charles Jones, as well as many other beloved family and friends. Her friends said they most appreciated her sharp wit, sense of humor and infectious laugh. She loved the law and lived her conviction for justice through her work both as defense and prosecuting attorney. Chris was brilliant but struggled in the world. We are heartbroken that in the end those struggles won out. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to a mental health or addiction therapy charity of your choice. Chris' favorite poem was lnvictus by William Ernest Henley and we share this line from that poem. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate I am the captain of my soul.
