Wayne Leon Sparks

He was born in Eugene, OR on October 13, 1939 to Ray and Audrey Sparks. He is survived by his wife Irma and three children, Dan (Tamiko), Scott (Kirstyn) and Eric Caraway. He adored his grandchildren, Mariko, Kylee, Alex, Ian, Elise, Anneka, Joseph and Julia. He was more than elated when the great-grandson Nolan came into our lives. He was predeceased by his daughter, Amber Daboul, two sisters, Kathy Fulkerson and Sharon Phillips and two brothers, Jim Sparks and Clinton “Bud” Sparks as well as his parents. A memorial service is being planned at Summers Funeral Home August 9th at 1 PM. Wayne was the second child in the family of ten children. They were raised on an acreage west of Boise where the parents lived for fifty years. He went to school at Franklin and Cole Grade Schools and graduated from Boise High School in 1957. He retired from Idaho Power where he worked more than thirty years in the accounting department. Wayne was the most compassionate person, always taking into consideration what was needed by the people around him. Very fun loving and kind, with a generous heart that everyone will remember. He always enjoyed spending time with his kids, camping, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He and Irma enjoyed their retirement years traveling in the RV and going on vacations to Hawaii and cruises as well as camping in the beautiful Idaho mountains. Life was good for him for many years until he started struggling with health issues nine years ago. He managed to stay upbeat and smile at the smallest things, remembering the good times.
