Bobbie Lee Marquis
November 13th, 1941 - February 14th, 2013
Bobbie Lee Marquis, 71, died, February 12, 2013, in his Canby home. He was born November 13, 1941, in Pasadena, California to Alice and Bruce marquis. Bobbie grew up in Pomona, California, where he married his first wirde, Ellie. they had two children. he served in the U.S. navy aboard the USS Sandoval and USS Oklahoma. He recieved the Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Portland in 1972. In 1978, he and second wofe, Pat, and their daughter moved to Canby. He was a welder at Brod & McClung, (later York International), for many years a member of Sheet Metal Worker's International Association-Industrial Local Union 544. Bobbie enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and reading. He was an avid reader and used the rresouces of the Canby Public Library. Survivors include his sons, Todd and Tadd; daughter, Julienne Marquis; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bobbie's parents and brothers, Ron and Chet, preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 3, at Mike's Place Tavern at 404 NW First Ave. in Canby.
