On August 28, 2023, John Delos Martin died in his home after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was 74 years old. John is survived by his wife Lorraine Martin; his daughter, Tallie Mortensen; his grandchildren Adrien and Kyah, and sister Joanne Anderson of Pullman, Wa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank (Bud) Martin and Florence (Floss) Martin. John was born on August 5th, 1949 in Boise, Id. He graduated from Boise High and went on to attend the University of Idaho where he graduated in 1971 with a degree in Business. John married Lorraine in 1977. They met in Twin Falls Id while he worked for Idaho First and Lorraine was a teacher. They moved to Boise and welcomed Tallie in 1979. John was an active member for many years in Masons and Shrine. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and various outdoor activities. With help from his friends he built a cabin in McCall on the Payette River. The family has many memories of holidays and vacations in McCall. John's funeral is scheduled for September 14th at 1:30 at Covenant Presbyterian Church.There will be a graveside service at Morris Hill Cemetery and reception at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family asks that donations be sent to Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah in lieu of flowers.
