Steve Oatman
February 15th, 1953 - December 6th, 2013
My Life Story Steve went to fly with angels in the Kingdom of God on Dec 6, 2013 after a struggle with prostate cancer. He was the second of three children born to Pat and Joyce Oatman in Hastings, Nebraska. Steve grew up in Denver, Colorado, enjoyed working on his grandparent's farm, loved playing football, and was an avid Boy Scout. He married the love of his life Diane Matt on September 3, 1976. Steve was the father of three beautiful and devoted girls, Dawn (Henry) Frederickson, Stephanie Oatman, Lindsay (Charlie) Colf. While they were growing up, his favorite time was spent coaching them in softball, volleyball and basketball. In 1995, Steve was transferred from Denver, Colorado to Boise, Idaho working as General Manager for Diebold, Inc. Steve enjoyed golfing, woodworking, remodeling the house, restoring his 1974 Mercedes, and spending time with his family especially his 7 grandchildren; Gabriel, Abigail and Rachel Frederickson; Joshua Janicek; and Charles, Tanna and Braydon Colf. Steve became an active member of the Catholic Church; his faith, community group, and church was a priority in his life. His pilgrimage to the Vatican along with Father John Donahue and friends held very special memories for him. He is survived by his parents Pat and Joyce Oatman, his brother Mike, his wife, daughters, grandchildren, numerous brother and sister-in-laws as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister Cindy and grandson Steven Colf. A special thank you to Angela at Harrison's Hope Hospice, Dr. Chu, and all the loving nurses who were always available to help comfort and care for Steve. A Vigil service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 7:00PM at Holy Apostles Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd., Meridian. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 10:00AM also at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
