Life Story Bob went home to heaven at the age of 70 on Sat, Oct 17, after a brief illness. Bob was born in Stoneham, MA, on November 26, 1944 and was the son of Esther & Garfield Guyette. He did not finish high school due to the family financial needs, but he did get his GED many years later after he got out of the military. He joined the Air Force in Oct 1966, his main job being spray painting military planes while being stationed at Dover AFB, Dover, Delaware. Then he did a tour of duty in Vietnam, spray painting as well as working with the military police. He was discharged in October of 1969. Bob & Venise were married on February 26, 1972 in Auburn, ME. He lived in the Lewiston-Auburn area until Nov ’02, when he & Venise moved to Boise, ID to be near their 2 children, son-in-law & at that time, 2 grandchildren. Bob had many different jobs over the years: he worked doing carpentry with his brother, was a bank vault attendant, drove an armored bank truck, drove school bus, owned a small restaurant named “Robbie’s Place”. Bob loved to fix & paint classic cars and then later enjoyed baking & decorating large cakes for special occasions such as anniversaries & weddings. Bob accepted Jesus as his personal Savior in 1982 and got very involved with service ministries at Auburn Baptist Ch. He helped in the construction of the new church building, was the head usher, sound man, a school bus driver and he was very involved with special projects in the many years he attended church there. He & his wife also had a weekly ministry at Marshwood Nursing Home through the church for several years, in which they were blessed to be able to lead many elderly to know the saving grace of Jesus. Then they attended Riverside Baptist Church in Auburn, again being very active in service for a couple of years before moving to Idaho. In Idaho, he was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian. He is survived by Venise, his wife of 43 years, a daughter, Lori & husband, Joseph Sunzeri of AZ, a son, Rob Guyette II & his wife, Demi of GA, 3 grandchildren, Michael Guyette of ID, Christina Rogers of GA and Tyler Guyette of GA, his brother, Garth & wife, Pat Guyette of FL, a brother, Jaime & his wife, Marion Guyette of ME, a sister, Darlene & her husband, Gary Honea of ME and a host of nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1824 W. 3rd St, Meridian, ID 83646. He will be buried at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in a service on Wednesday, Nov 25, when the whole family will be in Idaho. Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
