My Life Story Nancy Jo (Lancaster) Morris, 71, of Payette, flew home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the presence of family. Nancy was born on May 31, 1944, the second of four children of Rex and Audrey Lancaster, Filer. Being a farmers’ daughter, she cared for animals, helped sew many of her own clothes, and tormented her sisters and little brother. After several years as an active Rainbow Girl, Nancy graduated from Filer High School in 1963. She then pursued her talent and passion for flowers by earning a floral design certificate. On March 5, 1966, Nancy married the love of her life, Larry L. Morris. In the spring of 1967, they moved to Anchorage where she worked in a flower shop while Larry drove a mail run. They were blessed with their first son, Sid. In 1970, they returned to the Magic Valley to farm and soon three more children joined them, Jenny and twins Becci and Rob. Nancy enjoyed league bowling with her lifelong friends until her children demanded too much attention. She and Larry seldom missed one of their kids’ sporting events and later attended every grandchild’s event possible. Nancy was a fabulous floral designer and delighted in spending many hours with her niece, Julie in her flower shop, Consider the Lily, in Kimberly. While she physically could, she helped care for many at the Kimberly nursing home as a CNA. In the 1990’s Nancy enjoyed serving as Larry’s pit crew chief at the racetrack, playing golf, and spoiling her grandchildren. When Larry stopped farming in 2002, they moved to Payette, the land of golf, fishing, and wildlife watching from the back porch. This allowed them to travel with dear friends. Nancy then turned her creative passion to gourding with her sister, RexAnn. After Larry passed in 2009, she continued to enjoy golfing and bicycle riding with friends, a deep love of chocolate and long phone calls with her sisters, grandchildren, family and friends. Nothing can replace the presence of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, but we delight in knowing that she is reunited with her maker and husband. We will see her again. Besides her husband, Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her children: Sid L. (Traci Donaca) Morris, Nampa; Jennifer Jo (Carl) Coombes, China; Becci (David) Tupper, Hagerman; Rob R. (Delah Harvey) Morris, Meridian; 8 grandchildren: Jerad, Bradley, Zarek, Holly (Nate), J.C., Tyler, Teagan, Audrey Jo; and great-grandchildren Adam, Kim, Colby, Cheyanne, and Indie Jo. She is also survived by her loving siblings: RexAnn Burkhardt,Sahuarita, AZ; Ella Faye (Keith) Gabriel, Meridian; and Gordon (Frances) Lancaster, Filer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. A celebration of her life will be conducted at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 with refreshments to follow. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening for a viewing at the Rosenau Funeral Home. Nancy will be laid next to Larry in the Filer Cemetery prior to services. Remembrances can be left for the family online at www.AccentFuneral.com. Arrangements are under direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian, phone 888-5833.

We Entrusted Nancy Morris's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
