My Life Story The world lost an incredible soul on Friday, May 6, 2016. Gary Eastburn was one of the most loving husbands, father, son, brother and friend to anyone that knew him. He was a dedicated volunteer and would give anyone the shirt off his back. (Volunteered at The Boise Open for over 25 years) He passed quickly and with little to no pain. Gary was born at the US Naval Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX on August 18, 1953, to his loving parents, Bob and Shirley Eastburn. His father, Robert Eastburn was on active duty in the US Navy for 14 years and the Air Force for over 5 years which took them to many different locations across the US and to an Air Force Base in Germany. They finally landed in California to raise their family and live in the beautiful California sun. Gary loved the sun and the water. He was an avid swimmer and surfer throughout his youth. He also very much loved his siblings, Michael Eastburn and Chris Radloff. There are so many people we want to thank for the love they showed our amazing parents throughout the years. To the ease of our minds, while we walk down memory lane, our parent's story is one of pure genuine love. For those of you who do not know their story, it was love at first sight. They met on a Navy ship in San Diego, where our father was stationed at the time. Our dad went home and told his mother, he had met the woman he was going to marry. He held true to his word and 6 weeks later they were married. Not long after they were wed they moved to Seattle, WA to begin their life as a married couple. Five years later they moved to their 'Idahome' and started their family. They had 4 biological children and 1 bonus child: Chrissy Larsen, Bob Eastburn, Teresa Crawford, John Eastburn and Jason Biathavong. They loved their family more than life itself. When our mom (Debbie) was diagnosed with cancer at age 47, our lives forever changed. Our dad's love never wavered and he was by her side every second that she needed him. When she passed at age 52, he was devastated. They had been married for 34 wonderful years at that point. He was never able to fully recover from what her absence meant in his life. They were true soulmates and he was now missing his other half. We are so lucky to have the privilege to call him our father. Thankfully all of the kids had recently moved home. So he was surrounded by all of us at the end. Selfishly we are so angry to have lost both of them at such young ages. A piece of all of our hearts left on Friday night. We have never wanted to believe in heaven more than we do right now. Every ounce of our hearts hopes and prays that our parents are once again reunited and may continue their love affair. We will be having a Memorial Funeral Mass at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM, followed by a champagne brunch at Spurwing Country Club. If you would like to speak at the brunch we will have an open mic, please tell us your stories. We would love to hear them all. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

We Entrusted Gary Eastburn's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
