Charles Charlie Kinder
December 8th, 1932 - July 5th, 2016
Charles "Charlie" L. Kinder, 83, of Boise, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at a local care center. Born on December 8, 1932, in Las Animas, CO, Charlie was blessed with a friendly disposition and a good sense of humor. Charlie was blind at a young age, but he could see more clearly than most of us. He had the courage to get an education at the School for the Blind in Colorado Springs, CO, learning a trade as a piano tuner. He went out on his own and lived independently in many different places; Holly, MI, Farmington, NM, San Diego, CA just to name a few. He moved to Seattle, WA in 1990 where he lived for 24 years. He was brave enough to join the Sons of Norway Cascade Lodge on a tour to Norway. He even learned some of the language. Charlie was an accomplished musician playing piano, fiddle (violin) and banjo. He loved gospel, classic and some country music. In 2014 when his health declined, Charlie moved to Boise, ID, to be closer to family. He is survived by two brothers: Kenneth (Ida) Kinder and Keith (Pat) Kinder both of Boise, ID; nephews: John (Linda) Tull of Bosque Farms, NM, Kevin Kinder of Boise, ID, Denny (Maureen) Roberson of Hilliard, FL; nieces: Denise (Chris) Trickett of Nampa, ID, Kathi (Kevin) McLeod of Star, ID, Kristi (Clarence) Covington of Eagle, ID; great and great-great nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. He will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delaney and Freida Kinder, his sisters and their husbands: Nadine (John) Tull, Jeri (George) Murphy, Connie (Herb) Roberson; and a niece, Kimberly Kinder Gordon. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Meridian Friends Church, 1021 W. Pine Ave, Meridian. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
