Marjorie Carol Waitley
June 18th, 1935 - November 17th, 2016
My Life Story Carol Lowe Waitley, 81, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her home in Meridian surrounded by family. Born June 18, 1935 as an only child to Ralph and Nola Madden, she was raised on a dairy farm in Meridian, Idaho. Having lived on a farm during childhood with both her parents and grandparents she loved the farm life. When age 14, her parents bought and moved to a farm on Franklin and Locust Grove Roads. A little known fact, and one some of her children delighted bringing up, just to see her reaction, was to let people know one of her claims to fame was being crowned the Ten Mile Rodeo queen (Sorry Mom, we couldn't resist). She graduated from Meridian High School in 1953 and attended Boise Jr. College. Carol married Wesley Lowe in Meridian on March 1955 and moved to Pocatello where he was attending ISU. They lived in Pocatello six years, giving birth to their three sons, before moving back to Eagle in 1961 and then to Meridian in 1965, where their daughter was born. Carol's husband, Wesley Lowe, passed away in 1985. They were married 30 years. In 1990 Carol married Robert Waitley, and happily transitioned back to the Madden homestead and farm life. Throughout their marriage, Bob and Carol were blessed to travel extensively. Sometime after the farm was sold, they moved to Caldwell to help baby-sit a young granddaughter. Bob passed away in 2014 and Carol moved back to Meridian to live with her daughter. Carol is the third generation of a six generation legacy who attend Legacy Church, formerly Meridian Gospel Tabernacle. She was the oldest original member at the time of her passing. It was here that many life long, rich relationships were formed and many came to know her as Mama Carol. Carol is survived by her children: Ralph (Susie) Lowe, Rod (Diane) Lowe, Rory (Mary) Lowe, Ronda Lowe, Rick (Dorita) Waitley, and Linda (Dick) Lee. Grandchildren: Sarah Lowe, Torie (Chris) Nagle, Jordan (Alex) Lowe, Lindsay Lowe, Allyson (Dustin) Eason, Rorie Lowe, Tara (Justin) Azavedo, Sandy Kendall, Kelly (Johnny) Biddinger, Jason (Moe) Lee, Jill (Rob) Rollins, Justin (Tonya) Lee, Kendra (Glenn) Dustin, and Kyra (Nic) Gibson. Great Grandchildren: Khloe, Camden, Dallas, Paige, Noah, Ezra, Jessika, Madison, Rylee, Kaden, Kara, Sammy, Laurel, Annabelle, Larissa, Alexis, Alicia, Camden, and Colsen. She is also survived by many close friends who she loved as family. We will all miss her sweet spirit and sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Nola and husbands, Wesley and Robert. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 am at Legacy Church in Meridian, Idaho. All in attendance are invited to a reception and meal in the gym immediately following the celebration service. In lieu of flowers, Grandma Carol said, “Let’s send some more kids to church camp!” Donations can be made to Pine Acres Youth Camp, 1507 N. Meridian Rd., Meridian, ID 83642, under the management of Legacy Church. A special thanks to Harrisons Hope Hospice for your angelic care. An added appreciation for all the arrangements made by Randy and Danette, along with their team at Accent Funeral Home. Ironically Carol passed away on World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
