My Life Story Our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Hero, mentor and friend. Marjorie E. Amberg, a beautiful person inside and out. She loved God and followed his teachings from a young age. Mom was seventh of eleven children, she was born during the depression. Times were hard but they knew how to make it stretch. In 1962, Mom met our Dad through a newspaper ad that she responded to. Momma was 26 they married in 1963 and had five children: Matthias Eugene Amberg, Rebecca Danine Coker, Laurel Diane Pryse, Larry Dwayne Amberg, Kent Edwin Amberg. We were all born in different parts of the country. We traveled and moved a lot due to life but Mom and Dad always made the best of it. We made lots of road trips and ate bologna sandwiches the Amberg way. We were never rich but we never went without. But there was always love, never a shortage. Mom had a true love for kids, it was a good thing because we made her crazy. She loved crossword puzzles, gospel music, flowers, road trips, laughing, butterflies and traveling with Dad. In 1992, Dad passed away at a very young age and their adventures were short lived. Margie still had many good years after losing Jack. She enjoyed and loved her family very much. She took road trips to visit her grandkids for their graduations, attended church and she spent time with family and enjoyed 27 years after his passing. Mom still managed to move from California, to Kansas and then to Idaho. She lived in Idaho the last 9 years and she loved her little apartment and her flowers. Mom is preceded in death by her soul mate Jack Amberg; son, Larry Amberg; siblings: Steven Keck, Mary E. King, Arthur and Janet Keck (sister-in-law), Gayle Keck, JoEvelyn Crossland. She is survived by siblings: Betty York, Gloria Odell, Lytle Keck, Wynona Keck and Sally Geopfert. She had 39 grandchildren and 23 great-grandkids. She was very proud of her family. Mom went to heaven 14 days after God chose to take our beloved brother, Larry Dwayne Amberg to Heaven. I know she is sitting on a porch with my Uncle Bud, Aunt Janet, Larry and Dad talking about the weather drinking a coke. Rest in peace my family we will meet again. *See Service Information Page*

We Entrusted Marjorie Eileen Amberg's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
