Dolores Bailey
March 9th, 1935 - March 17th, 2018
My Life Story Dolores Mae Paulson Bailey was born on March 9, 1935 to Orville and Vera Paulson in Brodhead, WI, the third born among seven siblings (Loretta, Beverly, Orville Jr, Sharon, Merle, Linda, and Sigurd). Early life in Wisconsin Dolores worked, delivering newspapers on bicycles, and working in the town hall and library. Some days she took her younger siblings for help, they had much fun dusting the books in the Library. Her family relocated to California. She finished High School and began working a summer job in the cannery in Sunnyvale, CA where she met the love of her life, Melvin (Jack) Bailey. They loved going Dancing in Santa Clara CA at a place called “Wutzit Dance”. They wed on June 12, 1954 and quickly built their own family. Dolores and Jack loved to bowl, to attend family events, and to raise their three children: Dirk, Diane, and Danny. Jack and Dolores supported the young family. Dolores was a loving mother who carefully guided her children's upbringing for success. In 1998 Dolores and Jack relocated to Idaho. In 2001 she became widowed in the loss of her beloved husband, Melvin (Jack) to cancer. She moved into a gated community and became independently active in the neighborhood association. She loved to walk for exercise and continued to bowl until she could no longer lift the ball. She had many friends in her close community and in her bowling team members. In 2014 she was diagnosed with aggressive stage Alzheimer's disease and lived out her subsequent years at Autumn Wind Caldwell, ID memory care facility. She is survived by her siblings: Beverly Biely, Sharon Mullican, Merle (Sharon) Paulson, and Sigurd (Michelle) Paulson; her children and their spouses: Dirk (Lori) Bailey, Diane (David) Clare, and Danny (Randi) Bailey, and her seven grandchildren: Amber, Lauren, Jaclyn, Rochelle, Angela, Lyndsey, and Danica; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Treyton, Tricity, Jackson, Millie, Everitt, Axl, Berkleigh, Maximus, Briggs, Ronan, Hadley, Nolan, Hudson, Hazel and Sydney. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
