My Life Story Jay Ball passed into the Lord’s hands on June 15, 2018 surrounded by family. Jay was the first son born to Richard and Grace Ball and Joined his 3 older sisters in June 4, 1936 and was joined by brother, Dean the following year. They were raised in Marsing , Idaho surrounded by a very large extended family. He enjoyed all his friends and school mates. At 17 he joined the USAir Force. Going from Idaho to Texas, Michigan and onto Chambley, France, was as he said, a culture shock. Upon his return, he and his brother went to California for work and while there he met the love of his life, Terece Ransom. They returned to Boise, Idaho to raise their children and in 1972 moved to the farm in Kuna. Jay was working as a prison guard at the old Idaho State Penitentiary, but wanted a job closer to home and went to work for the Boise Project Board of Control as a ditch rider, a job he loved. Terece passed away suddenly in 1982. Jay owned and operated the only orchard in ADA County and enjoyed visiting with all the people who came to get apples. He loved to tell jokes and to make people laugh and to hand out candy to the kids and others at church each Sunday. His smile will be missed by many. Jay was a member of Kuna United Methodist Church, DAV Post 13, Nampa, The Old Time Fiddlers, Kaveman Travelers and the American Legion Post 142. Jay is survived by Merlene Henry, his children: Kevin, Wanda(Steve) Spurr, Beth Ball and Jim Staponski, Sam (Lisa) Ball and Arlis (Lisa) Ball; step-daughter, Cathy (Chan) Cabalo; grandchildren: Kristi, Melissa, Kandi, Nicholas, Adaline, Malanie, Brian, John, Bob, Adrianna, Amy, Jared, Sammy, Braydon, Andrew, Cody, Spencer, Nathan, Deanna, Thomas and Maria; sister, Doris Tyree and brother-in-law, Fred Hewitt; 26 great-grandchildren; aunt, Alice Bledsoe and many, many cousins. We Entrusted Jay B. Ball's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
