Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Arlene Elda Connely, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018, at her home in Meridian, Idaho. Arlene was born on June 21, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Stanley Edward Petty and Elda Rose Butler. She was the fourth of five siblings: Ila, Keith, Norma and Lynn. Arlene grew up in Fresno, CA, where she made many life-long friends, whom she stayed in touch with throughout their lives. She met her husband, Edward Connely, on May 1, 1957 at Yosemite Park, CA. They were married on May 15, 1957. They were married for 48 years before Dad passed away in January 15, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Marty) Grindstaff of Twin Falls, ID and their children: Laura (Tim) Allen and their children, Lilly, Kate and Brynlee; Kristi (Mike) Tilbey and their children, Paityn and Blakely; Jessica (Zach) Haralson and their children, Henry and Charley Jo; Emily (Tyler) Marchant and their child, June. Her daughter, Patsy (Denton) Crofts of Meridian, ID and her children, Kim (Jason) Olsen and their children, Jax and Everly; Kara (Cody) Bell and their children, Luke, Bentley, and Oliver; Kate (Ryan) Hammer and Kelsi (Ethan) Holden. Her daughter, Lisa (Jamie) Allen Meridian, ID; Nick Allen and Justin (Kara) Allen. Her brother Lynn (Nellie) Petty of Fresno, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Ila and Norma and her brother Keith, Granddaughter Amanda, Grandson Brandon and Great-granddaughter Kelsi. *See "Service Information" tab for service details.

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
