Victor Frank Veldevere
January 29th, 1935 - November 7th, 2018
Frank Veldevere, 83, of Nampa quietly passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, following a series of unfortunate illnesses. He passed away with Anita Huckabay, his companion and fiancé, at his side. Frank was born in 1935, in Costa Rica and immigrated to this country to find a better life for himself in the United States. After arriving here he came to Salt Lake City, Utah, and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While he was living in Salt Lake City he met and married Kay Hansen in 1970. They later divorced around 1992. He eventually, became a proud citizen of the United States but always held a great love for his native Costa Rica. While in Salt Lake he was educated and trained as a journeyman electrician, a job he enjoyed doing all of his life and which forced him and his family to move frequently throughout Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming. In Idaho, he was the proud owner of Frank’s Electric and owned and operated that company for close to thirty years. He worked hard six days a week and, because of this, had very little time to relax and enjoy life. When he was younger he excelled in soccer and played with a few of the intramural teams at the University of Utah. He loved bodybuilding and weight lifting and was always very serious about exercising all the days of his life. He loved camping (It always rained) taking trips up in the mountains (he was always more interested in the scenery than the road…scary driver!) and, when the children were younger, he loved fishing and hiking. Frank is survived by his children: Mark, Kim, and Kerri; his grandchildren: Jackson, Braeden, Bryan, Carter, Jordyn, Madison, and Aiden; and his friend and companion Anita. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his brother, Marco Tulio, and sisters: Betty and Isabelle.

We Entrusted Victor Frank Veldevere's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
