John Ove

John Ove John Charles Ove, 73, originally from Northern California, passed away Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Oregon. It was a beautiful day on the river, the sun was shining through the trees and a lovely harpist played and sang as John made his Journey to the other side surrounded by his children. John was a loving, kind-spirited father, trickster and tickler extraordinaire. He had a love of all things nature, an outdoors man; a real man’s man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. The eternal teenager who loved to work on cars. John was born on December 7th, 1942, the son of Vernon Clifton Ove and Mary Elsie Ove. He grew up adventuring in the wide spaces of Northern California with his dad where his love and appreciation of nature was fostered. He had four siblings Elsie, Shirley, Sally and Verna. He is survived by his sisters Shirley and Sally. John was married to Katherine Willson in 1961; they were together for 22 years. John married Margret Hackett in 1985; they were married for 13 years. John is survived by his five children: Cynthia Singer, Mary Garrett, Brenda McQuary, Sally Cook, and John Ove. John has 8 grandchildren: Tara, Joshua, Katherine, Heather, Rebecca, Roberta, Beaumont and Isabelle, and 6 great grandchildren: Jack, Gabriel, Nathan, Jacob, Jonah, and Holly. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10am at the Musgrove Family Mortuary Chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park.
