Sondra Lee Chandler, 73, of Boise, died on Monday, July 1, 2013, at The Cottages of Boise.Sondra Lee Chandler, 73, of Boise, died on Monday, July 1, 2013 at The Cottages of Boise. Sondra was born March 29, 1940, to Dwain Muir Tate and Buna Margaret Woolf Tate. She was born and raised in Riverdale, Idaho to a farming family. She enjoyed everything that went along living a farm life; horses, cows, gathering eggs, hoeing beets and tromping hay. She was always looking for a way to have fun and play a prank or two on someone! She loved bowling, softball, gardening, flowers, camping, anything that had to do with being outside. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Sondra always loved to serve others and was always baking something to give to someone. Everywhere she went she always wore a smile and had a positive attitude. She would say "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all". Her grand kids will remember her saying "I love you little, I love you big, I love you like a little pig". Thank you to all who helped her when she could no longer help herself, you know who you are. Also we would like to thank the staff and residents of The Cottages for your love and support when we could not be there with her in person. She loved you all. To you mom, from all of us: I love you little, I love you big, I love you like a little pig... Sondra is survived by her loving husband, Larry; daughters: Shelly (Tim) McDaniel, Kim (Jim) Trent, Tara (Ben) Little Bear, sons: Kevin (Marla) Chandler, Elden (Tami) Chandler, and 43 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Funeral services for Sondra will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 5, 2013, with a viewing prior to the service at 9:00AM at the Kingswood Ward LDS Chapel located at 4921 N. Mitchell Street, Boise. Burial will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Riverdale Cemetery north of Preston, ID. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Sondra's name to the General Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or to a charity of your choice. We Entrusted Sondra Chandler's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
