Thomas Tom Wilton

My Life Story Tom Wilton, 78, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home after a long illness surrounded by close family and friends. A Vigil service will be held Monday evening, July 15th at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 16th at 10:30 AM. Both services to be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd in Meridian Idaho. Burial with military honors will follow in the Meridian Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Tom was born April 23, 1935 in Syracuse, New York the son of Kenneth and Sally Wilton. Siblings include older brothers Dave, George and younger brother Michael. He enlisted into the United States Marines in 1952, and then served in Korea. In 1955 he returned to California where he met the love of his life Nan. They were married in 1956 and added a son Tom Jr, daughters: Lin and Mel to the family. In 1966 Tom brought the family to Meridian, Idaho where his job with Mountain Bell transferred them. He remained with the company for 36 years until he retired in 1992. His strong religious and moral values earned him the admiration and respect of all who met him. He had a very deep affection for his entire family and never spoke an unkind word about anyone. He spent his whole life doing the right thing and his generosity was boundless. Remaining here on earth to remember Tom and celebrate his life are son, Tom Jr; daughters: Lin, Mel and her husband, Kelly; four grandchildren: Brad and his wife, Elizabeth, Chelsea and her husband, Jake, Charlie and Kameron. Also many nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends. There to greet him and embrace him in Heaven when he arrived were his beloved wife Nan; parents; Kenneth and Sally; 3 brothers; a son James and other family members.
