Wesley “Wes” William Coddington passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at his home in Meridian, Idaho, ending his courageous battle with cancer. Wes was born on May 21, 1972 in Cooperstown, NY to parents, Douglas and Grace (Brain) Coddington. Wes married his partner and best friend, Karen Ivins, in Langhorne, PA on October 28, 1998. Wes will be remembered for his sense of humor, creativity, leadership, and his enjoyment of challenges - whether completing a triathlon or climbing a college chapel wall. Wes loved snow, snowmobiles and all things winter; he loved being outdoors; he loved sharing Jesus with anyone. But his greatest love was Karen and his children, second only to his love for Jesus. Following Jesus Christ was his life purpose and his final words to his family was to continue to make disciples. Wes graduated from Oneonta High School, Oneonta, NY, in 1990. He earned a BS degree in Youth Ministry and Family Ministry in 1994 and a MS degree in Organizational Development in 2009 from Cairn University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Wes was employed by North American Mission Board (NAMB) as a Regional Equipper. He was also a Senior Associate for TAI Inc. and a consultant for The Center: Advancing Organizational Health. His previous employment included Pastor of Leadership Development for New Song Community Church in Oceanside, CA, where he also pastored Seaside, a church plant, for three years. Additionally, he was Educational/Ministry Development Pastor for Langhorne Terrace Ministries in Langhorne, PA.; Director of Student Activities at Cairn University; Family and Youth Pastor at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, and Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta, NY. Wes was an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), was involved with the Leadership/Team Development at Sage Creek High School in Carlsbad, CA as well as a Parent Liaison at Calavera Hills Elementary school. While in Pennsylvania he was involved with visitation at the DaVita Kidney Care. Wes and his wife, Karen, moved to the Boise, Idaho, area a year ago to be involved in the growth of Resonate Church for Young Professionals. Wesley is survived by his wife, Karen: sons, Dakota and Kadin; and daughter, Kasey. He is also survived by his parents; sister, Patricia Crawfurd; bothers, David and Stephan Coddington; mother-in-law, Judy Ivins; sisters-in-laws: Linda Pennie and Nancy Bryan, and brothers-in-law: Ken, Mike, and Dominic Ivins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his niece, Carmen Coddington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Resonate Church, cc Luis Cuevas, 7813 W Crestwood Drive, Boise Idaho 83704. Write “Wes’ Memorial Fund” on memo.

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
