Kent Ralph Palmer passed away on July 6, 2021, with his wife and children by his side. He was born on March 22, 1952, in Nampa, Idaho, to Ralph and Edna Palmer. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1970 and spent most of his life in the Treasure Valley. He grew up riding horses, camping, and hunting with his family. Some of his occupations included logger, plumber, electrician, local truckdriver, and long-haul truckdriver with his wife. Kent enjoyed riding horses, hunting and camping at Rattlesnake Creek and Tipton Flats. He found great joy in helping anyone in need. He was a friend to all who knew him and never knew a stranger. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna, his brother Gary (infancy), and his sister Joy Skinner. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his children James, Terri (Jason), Jessica (Adam), Emily (Jeremy), Amelia (Adam), Callie (Tod), 15 grandchildren, and former wife Lola. Surviving siblings include Elaine Walker, Norma Flannery, Carol Estep, Steve Palmer, and Allan Palmer. “Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy.”

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
