Patricia A. (Aaron) Willings Patricia A. (Aaron) Willings passed away from cancer at the age of 68 on December 7th, at her home in Alvadore (Eugene). A memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19th at Alvadore Christian Church, with a reception to follow. A graveside service was held on December 11, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947, to Robert (Bob) and Kathryn (Quidor) Aaron, in Clovis, NM. The family moved to Eugene in the 1950s, and then to Alvadore in 1961. Growing up, Pat loved riding her horse and was in her Mom’s 4H Club, The Fern Ridge Saddle Up Club. She was on the track team in high school. She graduated from Willamette High School in 1966. She studied art in college. On October 27, 1967 she married her high school sweetheart, William (Bill) Willings. They were blessed with their daughter, Kim, in 1968. Pat was a room mother, Blue Bird leader, 4H leader, Sunday school teacher, and volunteered for many other activities. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting, drawing, design, and more. A creative outlet for her was doing the make-up for the people that were in the Alvadore haunted house, as well as for some of the mach emergency disaster drills for the City of Eugene. She had a love for Native American art. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and her home was always festive and decorated. Pat worked for Decker Nursery for over 40 years. She took classes and became a certified nursery professional. She was very active in the community. She was President of the Alvadore/Franklin Lioness Club. Pat was instrumental in starting the Alvadore Library and the annual Alvadore Halloween Carnival and haunted house. She was devoted to her family. One of her biggest joys were her granddaughters, nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband, Bill Willings of Alvadore; her daughter Kim (Don) Doerner, and granddaughters Sydney and Katelyn, all of Eugene, a Sister Kathy (Joe) Kloster, a Brother Rob (Cherie) Aaron and their 3 children all of Alvadore, a niece Brandy (Josh) Nelson of Cheshire, nephews J.R. Willis of Eugene, Bob (Michelle) Willings, of Springfield, and Jason (Angela) Willings of Monroe, OR. Her parents preceded her in death. Arrangements entrusted to Poole-Larsen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alvadore Library, Lions or American Cancer Society.
