Thomas Fay Hamblen
July 7th, 1938 - October 1st, 2021
Thomas Hamblen slipped right into God’s arms when He came for him the evening of October 1st, 2021 in Meridian, ID after a lengthy illness. Tom was born July 7, 1938 in Ozark, AR to Frankie and Earl Hamblen and had 8 brothers and sisters. He served in the United States Navy from 1956-1960 aboard the U.S.S. Midway. After his service he worked as a fireman, truck driver and mechanic. Tom retired as a diesel mechanic and member of the Machinists Union Local Lodge 653 in 2003. He and his wife, Sharon Hamblen moved to Meridian, ID in 2013. Tom thoroughly enjoyed his 7 children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sharon Hamblen of Meridian, ID; son Donald (Denise) Hamblen of Madera, CA; son Eric Hamblen of Bethel Island, CA; daughter Linda Lyons of Bellingham, WA; daughter Cathy (David) Spradley of Fresno, CA; son Brian Cullen of Colorado Springs, CO; Son Eric Cullen of Meridian, ID; and brother Larry (Leigh) Hamblen of Show Low, AZ; Grandchildren-Destinee (Esai) Ruiz and Thomas Hamblen both of Madera, CA; David Spradley of Fresno, CA; Jennifer (Sam) Santoyo of Maricopa, AZ; Kevin Lyons of Bellingham, WA; Liean (Jose) Nicdao of Hollister, CA; Brandon (Sara) Cullen, Samantha Cullen and Elizabeth Cullen, all of Colorado Springs, CO; Great-Grandchildren-Zoey, Cori, Emmy, Ziva, Kensi, Ellie, Maggie, Paisley-Faith and Leo. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Earl Hamblen; brother Norman Hamblen; sister Bonnie Harold; sister Betty Joyce Bolitho; sister Mary Van Buskirk; brother Charles Hamblen; brother Terry Hamblen; and brother Jimmie Hamblen.

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
