Margaret "Margie" Theresa Melendez Rich
June 16th, 1954 - January 29th, 2022
MARGARET THERESA MELENDEZ RICH 6-16-54 – 1-29-2022 Margaret Theresa Melendez Rich passed away on January 29, 2022 when she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 16, 1954 in Flagstaff, Arizona and when she was 9 months old our parents moved to San Diego, California where she lived until 5 years old. The family then moved to La Mirada, California where she grew up. She graduated from La Mirada High School in 1972 and then went on to attend Cerritos College where she graduated with her degree as a Court stenographer. She ended up choosing a different career path and went into banking. She worked at Union Bank in California until she moved to Boise, Idaho in 1990. From there she continued her banking career working for Bank of the Cascades and then DL Evans Bank where she was awarded “Employee of the Year”. She worked until her passing in 2022. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and took a lot of pride in making sure her yard always looked nice. She loved planting and taking care of her garden and it was evident she had a green thumb. She also enjoyed painting and would do that during the winter months to occupy her time since she couldn’t be out working in her yard. Margaret was preceded in death by parents, Lupe and Auscencio Melendez. She is survived by her sister Rosemary (Peter), brother Steven, step daughter Lisa, grandchildren Alyssa and Taygen. Margaret was laid to eternal rest in a private ceremony. Margaret will be remembered by the many people who knew her and the memories we have with her will forever be in our hearts.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
