Phylliss Ann Lacas, age 77, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born to parents, Dorothy Dee Mims and Edward Raymond Sickendick, on August 6, 1945, in Long Beach, California. Phylliss grew up in the San Fernando Valley in California, where she married Armand Fidanza. They had three children: Adam, Thomas, and John. The couple later divorced, and she subsequently moved to Idaho, after spending some time in Sacramento. Phylliss went on to marry David Lacas, who she shared 36 beautiful years of marriage with. They operated a roofing company together in the Treasure Valley area of Idaho. In her own time, she loved to paint, loved outdoor adventures, from camping, to kokanee fishing, and later found the biggest enjoyment in her life to be her grandchildren. She loved shopping trips with them, getting her Dutch Bros, and filling everyone up on sugar. Dave and Phylliss loved the Coos Bay, Oregon area; they lived there for a short time before returning to the Treasure Valley. They were sure to pass that love on to their children and grandchildren with many trips there over the years. Phylliss is survived by her husband, David Lacas; siblings: Linda Lundeen and Edward (Judy) Sickendick; children: Adam, Thomas, and John (Jennifer) Fidanza; seven grandchildren: Savana (Brian) Byrne, William (Caitlin) Gilmore, Alexandra (Jerad) Childers, Victoria (Steven) Fidanza, Anthony (Halee) Fidanza, Isabella Fidanza, and Edward Fidanza; nine great grandchildren: Maddison Rockey, Ainsley Ament Beams, Chloe Childers, Aspen Childers, Lana Crockett, Ivan Byrne, Ronan Byrne, Ezlynn Fidanza-Rodriguez, Amelia Byrne, and Aiden Gilmore; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Edward Sickendick; and her brother-in-law, Rodney Lundeen. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to your local sheriff’s office fundraiser for kids, as this was her annual contribution. Phylliss will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

We Entrusted Phylliss Lacas's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
