Teresa Kay Zanders
August 28th, 1953 - August 25th, 2023
Teresa Kay Zanders was born August 28, 1953, in Chestertown, Maryland, the third daughter of Boots and Betty Biscoe. She was a happy, energetic child with a passion for both adventures and cats. One of the favorite family photos shows Teresa sitting proudly in a cat box cradling a kitten. Her look of pure joy can't help but make a person smile. During her younger years, she moved from Maryland, to Texas, to California, and finally Idaho. When the family settled in Boise's North End, it became one of Teresa's favorite places. Lots of young people lived close and she befriended them all. She could be relied on to think of something to do, even if it was just climbing the hills at Camel's Back Park or hiding in a store bathroom instead of going to church. On one of her adventures, she met Terry Zanders, a tall, thin blonde and she was smitten. They were married and eventually became the parents of two handsome boys, Keith and Ty. She and Terry built a house in Meridian when the entire area seemed farmland. Teresa lived there the majority of her life. At the end that was the only place she wanted to be and was reluctant to leave. Teresa worked in food services until she went to work at Crucial. Her favorite part of work was her co-workers and she always had funny stories about them. She could always be counted on to make us laugh. When Teresa was healthy, she often dreamed of a magical world. Pegasus, dragons, unicorns and fairies danced through her head constantly. She wove stories about them and could make us see them too. As her health failed her beautiful companions morphed into mischievous aliens and when some new symptom appeared she would tell us, "The aliens did it." As she became more housebound, she missed many things - her yearly travels to the Oregon Coast, tending her flowers, building her fairy garden, and shopping or yard saling with her grandchildren. Teresa is survived by her husband, Terry Zanders; their sons: Keith and Ty Zanders, grandson, Zack Zanders; and granddaughter, Aleeya Zanders. She also leaves behind three sisters: Regina Ainslie, Janice Keeton, and Karen Lyle; as well as many extended family members and friends. Teresa, you have left a hole which cannot be filled. We are comforted by memories of your happy, healthy time. We will miss your smiles, your silliness, and energy - things we haven't seen in a while. Soar high, Grandma T!

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
