Alice Marie Flavel

Flavel, Alice Marie, 81, of Kuna, passed away, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at a local care facility. Alice Marie Flavel was born in Jerome, Idaho, on April 20, 1942, to Dean Hosia Giles and Ellen Sweat. She had five siblings: Iona, Homer, Dwyane, Roberta, and Chuck. She married Bill Cullen. After a brief marriage, she moved back to her hometown Richfield, Idaho where she fell in love with, and married, Marvin Flavel on January 11, 1962. They resided in Richfield, Idaho and then moved to Manti, Utah where Marvin worked in construction with Alice's brother Homer. Later, they then moved their family to Heyburn, Idaho and then settled into the family home in Kuna, Idaho in 1970. There, they raised their four children: Crystal Turner, Sherry Wolske (Randy), Lori Doan (David) and Jerry Flavel (Alicia). Alice remained in the family home for 53 years, until she was called home to glory! Alice was a homemaker most of her life. She babysat many of the Kuna school teachers' children during the day and in the evening, often worked at Indian Creek Parks and Service. She then went to work for Hewlett-Packard in the Engineering Department where she eventually retired in 2006. Alice was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Iona; brothers: Homer and Chuck; and a baby brother; granddaughter, Angie West; and grandson, Samuel Doan. Additionally, Alice has some very special people that she loved and cared for that have proceeded her in death: Darrell Bowman, Marlys Forrey, and Ken Combs. Additionally, proceeded in death was the love of her life, her dog Miley, whom she spent 13 wonderful years with and claimed was her most obedient child. Yet, none of her other children ever peed on her floor. Alice had 12 grandchildren: Misty, Jaimie, Jason Sarah, Jeramiah, Samantha, Trevor, Jacob, Samson, Lacee, Kendra, Shyla. Great grandchildren: she had a total of 26 (plus two on the way). Great-great grandchildren: she had a total of 4 (plus one on the way!) Arrangements are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home and Cremation, Meridian.
