Chad Davis Chad H. Davis of Springfield passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at age 64 on October 28, 2015. He was born January 27, 1951 to Dan and Harriet Davis in Tacoma, Washington. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1969. He worked 37 years in the woods/logging industry. He loved spending time with his family, including family vacations, dinners and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed spending time in the woods, hunting, happy hours and golfing. He is survived by his daughters, Dena Landrum and Jill Davis of Springfield; his granddaughter, Georgia Landrum, and his grandson, Chad Landrum of Springfield; his mother, Harriet C. Davis of Eugene; his sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Steve von Moos of Springfield, and his nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Davis, his brother, Danny Davis, and his nephew, Daniel von Moos. A private memorial service will be held. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will follow at 4:30pm on Friday, November 6, at the River Stop in Walterville.
