Dorothy Dot Davis Dorothy “Dot” Drusilla Davis died of natural causes on September 22, 2015 in Eugene at the age of 98. She was born on September 3, 1917 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Otho and Anetta Curry. She married Raymond Davis on February 3, 1933 in Washington, Kansas. They moved to Oregon in 1941 with their twin sons, Terry & Ted and daughter, Beverly. Dorothy worked for Eugene Fruit Growers which later became Diamond A packing plant and retired after 35 years in 1978. Dorothy and her husband had a farm off Matthews Road where they had a cherry orchard. They sold their cherries to Eugene Fruit Growers. They also had a organic U-pick blueberry patch business. She enjoyed many hobbies bowling, fishing, raising and training dogs. She was an avid golfer and longtime member of Emerald Valley Golf Course. She made 6 Hole-In-Ones in her golf career. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was loved by all. Dorothy is survived by her son, Ted Davis of Hillsboro, brother Harold Curry of Kansas City, Kansas, 8 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Preceded by husband Raymond A Davis, a son, Terry Davis and daughter, Beverly Saxon, Brother, Asa Curry and sister Betty Schanze. A service for Dorothy will be held on September 30, 2015 at 1 pm at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home 7305 Main Street, Springfield. In lieu of flower, donations can be made to Emerald Valley Junior Golf Program, for scholarships in Dorothy Davis name, mail to 1574 Coburg Road, #277, Eugene, OR 97401.
