Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Arlene "King" J. Search
July 25th, 1927 - July 12th, 2012
Arlene, 84 of Wilder, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2012. Arlene was born in Kuna, Idaho at her grandparent’s home to Leonard and Mabel King on July 25, 1927 as the oldest of six children. Arlene told stories of following her father around and helping him on their sheep ranch; her father never called her Arlene, but rather “Joey”. She met her loving husband, L. Vernon Search (L.V.), on a blind date and was married shortly after on December 23, 1944. Together they made a wonderful life and finally settled down in Wilder were they lived for almost 40 years in a house L.V. built with his own hands. They worked at Simplot for 24 years before retiring. During retirement they spent many days traveling in their motor home and went to extremes to help family and beloved friends. When asked she would always say her favorite part of life was loving her family. Together Arlene and L.V. had one son, Vernon Search (Sandra). In total Arlene had three grandchildren: Martin, Pennie (Andy), and Janet (Scott); five great-grandchildren: Alan (Kristie), Chris (Eric), Brittney (Harlan), Breanna, and Sean; and two great-great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Alana. She is also survived by her brother, Clayton King as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly, L.V. and Martin as well as two sisters and two brothers preceded Arlene in passing. The family would like to extend a very large thank you to West Valley Medical staff, Caldwell Cancer Care Center, Stephanie, and everyone at Horizon Home Health and Hospice. Arlene will have a graveside service for family at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Wilder Cemetery. Everyone is then welcome to a celebration of her life at Mountain View Church (on Ustick Road in Wilder) at 11:00 AM. Services are under the direction of Flahiff funeral chapel. Service Information
