Nina Jean Stirm, 67, of Caldwell, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Caldwell Care Center. Memorial Services will be held at the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene on 26515 Ustick Rd., Wilder Idaho at 11 AM on Tuesday the 10th of May. Nina was born on November 16, 1943, in Sacramento California, to Vada and Tom Riggins. She was raised in California. She graduated from the La Sierra High School in Carmichael, Ca. Nina and Robert Stirm met and were married in 1966 at the 1st Methodist Church in Caldwell Idaho. This union was blessed with two children, Verdell and Bob Stirm. Nina loved and enjoyed taking care of all kids. This included her own children, grandchildren and several special needs children. Nina loved being in God’s great outdoors! She also loved camping with friends and family. Some of her special interest was listening to Elvis Presley music and watching John Wayne movies. Nina possibly owned the entire collection of John Wayne. Nina was a faithful attendee of the Mt. View Church of the Nazarene until she relocated to the Caldwell care center. One of her favorite church activities was the annual Church horseback ride at Succor Creek. She was not able to ride do to health reasons but was very active socially with all campers. You would often find Nina making her way around to each of the campers bringing cheer and warmth to everyone she would meet. She also was a stickler on keeping a tidy camp, by taking it upon her self to pick up trash and etc. where ever needed. Nina is survived by her two children, her daughter Verdell of Boise and her son Bob of Wilder; three grandchildren, Anthony, Kala and Seria. Nina was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Nina will be greatly missed by all. Service Information
