Eldon B. Wilson, 89, of Caldwell, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Idaho Veteran’s hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Interment will be in Jackson, California. Eldon was born October 18, 1921, at Ava, Missouri, a son of Burt and Laura Wilson. At the age of 13 he moved to Idaho where he worked in the fields until going into the Army in 1942. He married Marcelline Noblet in Petangé, Luxemberg. After his honorable discharge from the Army, they lived in Colorado and California where he worked as a carpenter. They settled in California in 1955. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Fremont, California for many years. In 1989, they retired and moved to Idaho. In 1999, they moved back to California, where Marcelline died on December 31, 1999. He later moved back to Caldwell, where he met and later married Shirley Owens. Eldon was a charter member of the West Valley Baptist Church in Nampa. Eldon is survived by his wife Shirley, children LeRoy Noblet Wilson, Shirley Ann Brown, Lawrence James Wilson, Catherine Jeanne Campbell, John William Wilson, and Richard Arthur Wilson, his step-children Pam Puente, Brian Owens, Glen Owens, Donald Owens, Laurie Vande Vooren, and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Mae Wilson. Service Information
