Marjorie Fay Evans passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday afternoon at her daughter's home in Kuna. She was 93 years old. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery. Marjorie was born August 22, 1917 to Richard and Hazel Clements in Nampa, Idaho, the first of six children. She attended The College of Idaho in Caldwell where she received her teaching degree. Marjorie taught in the Wilson School District near Givens Hot Springs encompassing the first six grades in a one-room schoolhouse. In 1943 she began teaching in the Homedale School District and it was there she met Wallace "Bill" Evans while chaperoning at a high school dance where he was playing in the band. They married in 1945 and lived nearly all of their lives in the state of Idaho. Living independently until the time of her death, Marjorie loved to sew, watch tennis and football, and read. She would often read a book a day. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her oldest daughter Carol Ann, her sister Jeanette and two brothers Keith and Ralph. She is survived by her brother Richard Clements of Boise, her sister Barbara Oberst of Melba, two daughters, Judy Evans of Kennewick, WA and Jeanie Spearow of Kuna, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family of Marjorie Evans would like to thank Myrna Olson-Fisher and the staff of Kuna Family Medical Clinic for the loving care they have provided over the years. We would also like to thank the staff of Hearts for Hospice for their tender support over the last few weeks and a special thank you to her friends and neighbors at Leisure Village who lovingly supported and watched over her allowing her to remain in her own home until the end.
